The way we experience the world is shaped by the materials we work with. What happens when we perceive a material through a different sense? This interdisciplinary research sets out to answer this question by looking at the specific case of glassblowing. It examines how sonifying glass movement in the hot shop changes skills and behaviors.
How does it feel to hear glass, and what kind of movement does it generate? This question was explored through scientific research methods and artistic installation, engaging experienced glassblowers and the general public.
