How to depict a moment of vast change? I Barely remember my teenhood. When I think about it I’m left with a vague feeling of a deer frozen in headlights. Everybody was observing me changing, I felt they were understanding something that was happening to me that I was yet to grasp. Growing up felt both beautiful and awkward. Working with glass means letting a dramatic change happen, then leaving the material to move slowly in the pose of its last dramatic movement. The sculptures are curvy and bubbly, with strands growing out of internal-external areas. Are they hiding or peeping out? We can look at the object, observing its movement of change.
